Eddie Albert
I have supported mission‑critical environments across federal, financial, aerospace, and defense sectors. This includes work with NASA, Rockwell Collins, and Lockheed Martin’s Missile and Fire Control divisions, as well as trusted roles supporting the Department of State, Department of Defense, and Department of Justice in environments requiring the highest levels of federal clearance.
My enterprise background includes serving as Assistant Vice President within Merrill Lynch’s Global Technology Group, where I helped lead enterprise backup and recovery operations, and later supporting Bank of America’s Data Protection Group. I also contributed to major federal modernization efforts as a design consultant for EDS on the $3B Navy–Marine Corps Intranet program. During my tenure with EMC and later Dell/EMC, I supported Fortune 50 clients and large‑scale transformation initiatives across multiple industries.
My technical foundation began in the United States Marine Corps, where I led the Marine Corps’ first LAN deployment at Cherry Point and helped pioneer early network modernization efforts. Since then, I have designed, deployed, and supported enterprise systems across Japan, Korea, the Philippines, Thailand, Australia, and the United States.
Today, I apply this experience across five nonprofit organizations in the Rio Grande Valley — including two 501(c)(3) and three 501(c)(19) veteran‑service organizations — where I lead regional technology modernization, cloud adoption, cybersecurity posture improvement, and long‑term infrastructure planning. My focus is on enabling mission‑critical operations, improving organizational resilience, and delivering enterprise‑grade technology solutions to community and veteran‑service organizations.
In addition to my nonprofit leadership roles, I selectively engage in enterprise and global IT projects through EddieAlbert.com, where I advise organizations on data protection strategy, cloud architecture, AI‑driven modernization, and business resiliency.
